The Ásmundur Sweater

The Ásmundur Sweater has been on sale at the Reykjavík Art Museum shop at Ásmundarsafn since 2015. Various photos show sculptor Ásmundur Sveinsson in a black and white patterned, knitted sweater. It was decided to recreate this sweater in Icelandic wool with knitter Sigurlaug Helga Emilsdóttir, who drafted the pattern, and master knitter Birgir Einarsson, who designed the final version of the sweater. The sweater is produced by Varma for the museum shop.
