Verkið er staðsett við Perluna í Öskjuhlíð.Robert Dell fékk Fulbright-rannsóknarstyrk til að þróa jarðhitatengda höggmynd sem var sett upp tímabundið í Krýsuvík en stendur nú við Perluna í Reykjavík. Dell, sem er prófessor í verkfræði og afar virtur á sínu sviði, nýtti mikla verkfræðikunnáttu til að geta leyst tæknilegar hliðar hugmynda sinna en með höggmyndum sínum leitast hann við að gera náttúruöflin sýnileg og áþreifanleg. Dell er brautryðjandi í sjálfbærri list og telur mikilvægt að verkin vinni í sátt og samlyndi við náttúruna og gangi ekki á hana á neinn hátt. Höggmyndir Dells tjá þennan breytileika, en efnið sem þær eru gerðar úr tekur á sig ólíkar myndir og liti eftir vind- og veðrabrigðum. Dell notast við ýmis efni í verkum sínum, líkt og kopar, sem bregst hratt við hita- og kuldabreytingum og skiptir litum. Þá notar hann kristalla en þeir miðla ljósi auk þess að vísa til samþjöppunarorku jarðarinnar. Dell segir verk sín mynda nákvæm, tæknileg og efnisleg kerfi sem myndi eins konar gervilífheild.
