LEGO Robots – Workshop
We’ll build robots inspired by the exhibition Lavaforming at Hafnarhús, where imagination and technology come together.
In the workshop, we’ll use Lego Spike kits from Mixtúra. Participants will work together to design, build, and program amazing robots.

A Blooming Future – Workshop
In this workshop, we take inspiration from the works of Katrín Elvarsdóttir and create our own floral images.
This is a fun and accessible workshop suitable for all ages – and it’s easy to repeat at home.

At Kjarvalsstaðir, you can take part in a scavenger hunt based on the exhibition Kjarval and the 20th Century: When Modernity Arrived. Can you find all the artworks?

Join museum bingo based on the exhibition Wonderland and a scavenger hunt in the Ásmundur Sculpture Garden. Artist Finnur Arnar has settled into the museum and is painting a work on the ceiling of the dome. Come by and meet the artist living at the museum! There is also a secret drawer for families, filled with fun materials to create and play with.
Visit the museum during the winter break and try something new! Throughout the entire break, games and challenges will be available at the museum receptions, which children can solve with the help of an adult in the exhibition galleries.
