Unnar Örn currently has his studio in Ásmundarsafn. He draws inspiration from any kind of recording of history. Formal records, photographs, collectibles or other informal road signs of the past become the artist's fodder for what he calls an Experiment about time. Questions arise about history, values and power systems; what is preserved, by whom and for what purpose? Unnar Örn gets access to the unique special collection Ásbúðarsafn, which Andrés Johnson (1885–1965) sold to the National Museum of Iceland . Ásbúðarsafn is still little explored and as a result contains many verbs.
