Í verkunum mætast grípandi fegurð og hugleiðingar um uppruna. Hún veltir fyrir sér hvað það þýðir að tilheyra, að festa rætur – vera aðfluttur og samt hluti af heild.

In the exhibition A Botanical Future, Katrín turns her attention to plants that have traveled between habitats.

The works bring together striking beauty and reflections on origin. She considers what it means to belong, to take root — to be introduced from elsewhere and yet become part of a whole.

Bryn Nóel Francis, a sign language expert and art historian, will lead a Deaf-guided tour of the exhibition Katrín Elvarsdóttir: A Botanical Future on Thursday, February 12 at 8:00 PM at Hafnarhús (Harbor House).

The tour is organized in collaboration with the Icelandic Sign Language Committee.
