During this evening walk, the work Áfangar by the American artist Richard Serra will be examined. It is an artwork that conquers all of Vesturey in Viðeyj Island and leaves a strong impression on the island's appearance and environment. The event starts at 20.00 and the starting point is at the Viðey ferry at Skarfabakki. Markús Þór Andrésson, head of media at Reykjavík Art Museum, leads the tour, and visitors are asked to dress according to the weather.

Evening walks is a series of events organized by Reykjavík City Library, Reykjavík City History Museum, Reykjavík Art Museum and Reykjavík Unesco City of Literature. The walks take place on Thursday evenings during the summer months. You can follow the schedule on Facebook. Participation is free, but you have to pay for the ferry when the walks are in Viðey Island.
