Una Björg Magnúsdóttir is the 40. artist to exhibit in Reykjavík Art Museum´s exhibition series in D-Gallery. Born in 1990, Magnúsdóttir studied at the Icelandic Univeristy of the Arts and completed her MFA from ÉCLAN in Switzerland in 2018.

Magnúsdóttir lives and works in Reykjavík.

Magnúsdóttir works mainly in sculpture. She channels her works into various objects and arrangements, which are in fact staging for the works themselves.  Her works are often kinetic and/or emit sound, making them familiar to the viewer, while at the same time challenging their assumtions. Magnúsdóttir has participated in exhibitions abroad and in Iceland.

The D-Gallery exhibition series started in 2007. Artists, who are shaping the local contemporary art scene, are invited to hold their first solo show in a public museum..
