Bragi Upside Down

Kjarvalsstaðir

-

Educational exhibition in the North Gallery of Kjarvalsstaðir builds on sensing without words. Bragi Ásgeirsson has been an active writer both as an artist and a teacher thus there exist an immense amount of press cuttings of his life as an artist and critic. These press cuttings are used as a testimony of his activities.

They are revealed in a visually interesting manner. The exhibition gives museum visitors an opportunity to lie down on a bench and experience an artwork by Bragi in an unusual manner since it is hanging from the ceiling. This is an interesting means to join children and adults in looking at art from the same vantage point..
