Reykjavík Art Museum hosts the graduation exhibition by BA-level students from the Department of Architecture, the Department of Design, and the Department of Fine Art at the Iceland University of the Arts. The exhibition opening takes place on Saturday May 9th at 1:00 PM, all are welcome.

At the 2026 Graduation Exhibition in Architecture, Design, and Fine Art, approximately 88 students from the Iceland University of the Arts present their work. Throughout their studies, students have developed their methodologies and defined and deepened their individual areas of interest.

The works on display reflect this development, as their latest research takes form across a wide range of media — including video, printed matter, drawings, clothing, models, three-dimensional works, and websites. While each student approaches the contemporary moment from a personal perspective, the exhibition as a whole reveals explorations of a transformed media landscape, craft traditions, the relationship between body and clothing, empathy with insects, opportunities inherent in small-scale production, collecting obsessions, fishing shacks, vulnerability, and overwhelming institutions.

Curators:
Anna Karlsdóttir and Jan Dobrowolski, Architecture
Arnar Ásgeirsson, Fine Art
Arnar Már Jónsson, Fashion Design
Björn Steinar Blumenstein, Product Design
Hrefna Sigurðardóttir, Graphic Design

The exhibition runs until May 17.
