Two visual ensembles - bands that put equal emphasis on stimulating the eyes and ears and therefore operate on the border between music and visual art - will join forces at the Reykjavík Art Museum, Hafnarhús, on Museum Night. At 21.00: MOTETAt 22.00: Unifiled

Unfiled is the two-headed creation of Atli Bollason and Guðmundur Úlfarsson. They began their collaboration in Mengi in 2019 with a series of experimental visuals. Their artistic creation still revolves around key ideas that emerged in those early months: reverberation (literally and figuratively), the processes behind meaning-making, visual improvisation, memories, ghosts, buzz. Their first album was released last spring and was compared to Emptyset and Ben Frost among others. Reykjavík Grapevine recently nominated Unfiled as the best live band of 2025.

MOTET is the duo of Owens Hindley and Þorsteinn Eyfjörður. They fuse the mechanical with the organic, find beauty in decay, and infuse dystopias with hope. Their first album, 0.5, was released at the end of 2024.
