Bryn Nóel Francis, a sign language specialist and art historian, will lead a guided tour in Icelandic Sign Language of Karin Sanders exhibition: 1957–2057 in Hafnarhús, Sunday, June 14 at 2:00 PM.

Karin Sander: 1957–2057 is a comprehensive exhibition of works by German artist Karin Sander, who has maintained connections with Iceland since her first visit thirty years ago.

Many of the artist’s works are inspired by the country’s nature, culture, and society. The exhibition explores the concept of place awareness in geographical, physical, and conceptual terms. Visitors are invited to have themselves scanned and printed as a small 3D-printed figurine, and blank canvases gather textures under different conditions.

Following the tour, visitors will head to Fragrance of Reykjavík Arts Festival, an installation by Fischersund, located in the Greenhouse at Lækjartorg.
