Can we live together? The research-action-group Híbýlaauður (en. collective wealth of housing) invites you to join the group around a kitchen island, a modern version of the fireplace that has accompanied human dwellings since time immemorial.

We will share some recipes in order to cook up the apartment complex of the future: How is the community doing? Is there an ideology? Or greenery? Does abundant daylight on all floors make us richer? Is the housing market boiling over? Or is there a glow of light in this? And something in the pantry that is the most economical and ecological in the situation? Are we ready for experiments? To live together?

Híbýlaauður is based on architectural and economic research in the context of housing development in Iceland. Emphasizing the experience of the resident and quality in architecture and urban planning that creates collective wealth of housing.
