Halla Margrét Jóhannesdóttir will lead an audio-described tour for blind and visually impaired visitors of the exhibition Liquid Bodies, Shared Worlds at Reykjavík Art Museum – Hafnarhús on Thursday, 15 October, at 18:00.

The audio-described tour takes place on White Cane Safety Day, the international awareness and advocacy day for blind and visually impaired people, observed annually on 15 October. The day highlights the white cane and raises awareness of issues affecting blind and visually impaired individuals.

Leaky Bodies, Shared Worlds is an exhibition featuring works by thirty contemporary Polish artists from the collection of Bunkier Sztuki in Kraków. The exhibition includes photographs, paintings, sculptures, and installations exploring the body, identity, relationships, and society.

Most of the works were created in the 21st century and reflect how our lives are shaped by our surroundings, technology, and interactions with others. The exhibition highlights the diversity of contemporary Polish art and creates a space for dialogue between Polish culture and Icelandic society.

Guide dogs are welcome.

Admission is free for the guided tour.
