Reykjavik Art Museum and Trio Reykjavik are currently in their 9th winter program of free lunchtime concerts in Kjarvalsstaðir. The aim is to invite people to break up the day and enjoy beautiful music in a cozy environment. With no admission, the concerts begin at 12:15 p.m.
Kjarvalsstaðir stays open until 10 p.m. with events during the evening and live music at the café. Happy Hour from 4:30.-7:30 p.m. Free admission from 5 p.m.-10 p.m.

Staff from our educational department will be available at Hafnarhús between 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. and tell guests about the three exhibitions now on view at Hafnarhús.
Due to winter school holiday in Reykjavík, there will be free entrance for adults accompanied by children at Kjarvalsstaðir, Hafnarhús and Ásmundarsafn from 15-18 February.
During Reykjavík Children´s Culture Festival (19-24 April) children can invite adults to any exhibition at Reykjavík Art Museum for free.
During winter vacation in elementary schools in Reykjavík, adults accompanied by children get free admission to Reykjavík Art Museum, from 23-27 October. There are various exhibitions at Hafnarhús, Kjarvalsstaðir and Ásmundarsafn and entertaining program for kids.
Free admission to the exhibition Marginalia – texts, sketches, and doodles in Kjarval’s art at Kjarvalssstaðir from 22 December to 3 January 2016 which is the last day of the exhibition.
On the occasion of Ásmundur Sveinsson's birthday, the entry is free to Ásmundarsafn on Monday, 20 May.
On the International Museum Day, Saturday, 18 May, there is free entry to Reykjavík Art Museum - Hafnarhús, Kjarvalsstaðir and Ásmundarsafn.
