Wish Tree is an artwork by Yoko Ono from 1996, in close relation to the Imagine Peace Tower. Every year the tree is placed in selected places in Reykjavík.

This September, Reykjavík Art Museum holds a group exhibition outside the museum walls for the second time. Eight artists present new work in a diverse and original manner around the city and in the public spaces made available through modern technology.

Reykjavík Art Museum calls for participants for the performance Intimacy in Three Acts by artist Gígja Jónsdóttir.

Gilbert & George: THE GREAT EXHIBITION will be opened at Reykjavík Art Museum – Hafnarhús on Thursday, 6 August. The exhibition is a part of Reykjavík Art Festival and Reykjavík Pride.

Next year, there will be five exhibitions in the Gallery D serie at Hafnarhús. The exhibitions by Klængur Gunnarsson and Auður Lóa Guðnadóttir, which were supposed to take place this year, have been postponed until next year due to a changed exhibition program following Covid-19.

Now there is a last chance to see two exhibitions at Hafnarhús.

The exhibition Hafnarhús – Depot of Ideas in the City Centre will be opened on Thursday, 18 June at 20h00 at Reykjavík Art Museu – Hafnarhús. Ólöf Bjarnadóttir is the curator of the exhibition.

The last day of the exhibition Jóhannes S. Kjarval: From Abroad at Kjarvalsstaðir is Sunday, 14. June.
