In connection with the fall – break vacation in Reykjavik pre-schools, 18th–21st of october 2018, Reykjavikd Art Museum offers free entrance for adults accompanied by children during those days. 

The coffeshop in Kjarvalsstaðir is open during opening hours of the Museum there. 

Artist Erró awarded Dodda Maggý a prize, money and recognition, from the Guðmunda S. Kristinsdóttir Arts Fund, for her contribution in the field of art. The award ceremony took place at the opening of the exhibition Black and White at Reykjavík Art Museum – Hafnarhús.

The last day of the exhibition No Man‘s Land – Where Beauty Alone Reigns? is Sunday, 30 September at Kjarvalsstaðir and Hafnarhús.

More than 130 artists expressed an interest in participating in the D-Gallery Series at Reykjavík Art Museum – Hafnarhús in 2019. Four artists will be selected so the selection committee is faced with a difficult task to go through all the applications.

Matthías Rúnar Sigurðsson is the third artist invading the exhibitiob Art for the People in Ámundarsafn. The exhibition will open Saturday 18 August at 15h00, Culture Night.

Reykjavík Art Museum offers a diverse program at Hafnarhús, Kjarvalsstaðir and Ásmundarsafn for this year’s Reykjavík Culture Night that takes place on Saturday August 18th.
