Sol LeWitt – trainees wanted

TRAINEES wanted to create Sol LeWitt’s wall drawings – January 13–February 5, 2020.

The Reykjavík Art Museum is presenting an exhibition of wall drawings by Sol LeWitt, and we are looking for volunteers to join us in this rare opportunity to create works by a world-renowned American artist.

We seek individuals who have skills in the field of drawing and painting – including, but not limited to art students, artists, draughtsmen and other visual art persons, who enjoy working with their hands and making artworks that fill up walls from floors to ceilings.

Professional drafters from Sol LeWitt’s studio, who have committed years traveling to museums around the world to realize LeWitt’s masterpieces, will guide and teach volunteers skills to re-create markings with brushes and pencils according to instructions by the artist.

The installation period is from January 15th to February 15th.
