Last day of the exhibitions Disruption and This is Our First and Last Work is Sunday, 16 October

Sunday, 16 October is the last day of two exhibitions at Reykjavík Art Museum. Disruption by sculptor Ásmundur Sveinsson and artist Elín Hansdóttir and This is Our First and Last Work by Ingibjörg Sigurjónsdóttir.

In Disruption, Elín takes on Ásmundur´s artworks, searching for new viewpoints. Elín and Ásmundur work with perspective in different ways; he uses his material to capture the form, while she redefines the space.

Exhibitions in Gallery D at Hafnarhús focus primarily on artists who have not previously held one-person shows in Iceland’s major galleries. Ingibjörg Sigurjónsdóttir´s exhibition is the 27th in the row. In her work, Ingibjörg molds the poetic and the abstract into sculptures in her search for truth and beauty.
