Many Languages of Art: Gallery Talk in Lithuanian

Reykjavik Art Museum offers guided tours in different languages in collaboration with Móðurmál – Association on Bilingualism.
Jurgita Motiejunaite, art and language teacher at the Lithuanian mother tongue school, will lead a gallery talk in Lithuanian about the exhibition Iðavöllur: Icelandic Art in the 21st Century in Hafnarhús.
Registration is required HERE
Fourteen Icelandic artists show their newest works in the exhibition Iðavöllur. They represent a generation who deals with increased speed, more flow of information, blurry borders, fluctuating gender, changes in communications, new technology – all while still remembering the way it used to be. In a sense, they are experiencing the end of the world and contributing to a new beginning.

Many Languages of Art is a part of the collaborative project Let's join hands (Tökum höndum saman) on behalf of the Reykjavik City Museum and Reykjavik Art Museum, which received a grant from The Museum Council of Iceland (Öndvegisstyrkur Safnasjóðs).
