Lunchtime with a designer: Björn Steinar Blumenstein

Björn Steinar Blumenstein product designer talks about his mobile Babb - from idea until production.  In Icelandic.

Babb is a lively mobile that refers to the material world of sculptor Ásmundur Sveinsson and his development as an artist. Varied materials that characterize different time periods in his artistic creation perform a balancing dance and enliven the environment. 

The event is a part of Reykjavík Art Museum´s exhibition at Design March - Design for Sculptor Ásmundur Sveinsson. Exhibition of products designed by five product designers for the museum shop at Ásmundarsafn. Ásmundur Sveinsson's visual world has been a source of ideas for new useful products dedicated to the artist's memory and his contribution to Icelandic cultural and handicraft heritage.

The other designers are Brynhildur Pálsdóttir, Friðrik Steinn Friðriksson, Hanna Dís Whitehead and Tinna Gunnarsdóttir.
