Exhibition Opening - D49 Helena Margrét Jónsdóttir: Unreal Replicas

Welcome to the opening of the  49th exhibition in the D-Gallery exhibition series that started in 2007 and invites emerging artists who are contributing to the development of the local contemporary art scene to hold their first solo exhibition in a public museum.

Helena Margrét Jónsdóttir (b.1996) graduated with a BA degree in art from the Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2019 after having studied art at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague in the Netherlands and the School of Fine Arts in Reykjavík. Helena's recent solo exhibitions are Liquida (2021) at Plan X Art Gallery in Milan and Dragur upp úr other draug (2021) at Hverfisgallerí. Helena also took part in a group exhibition at Kjarvalsstaðir 2020.
