Guðmunda Rós Guðrúnardóttir, historian, and Sigríður Melrós Ólafsdóttir, project manager, lead a walk around the monument of named women in Reykjavík. In Icelandic.

What women are these? Where are they? Guðmundur and Sigríður discuss the works and these women as well as pondering the question of whether statues and monuments to named individuals are obsolete phenomena?

The walk lasts for an hour and a half and starts at Reykjavík Art Museum Hafnarhús.

Evening Walks are a collaborative programme of The Reykjavík Art Museum, Reykjavík City Library, Reykjavík City Museum and Reykjavík UNESCO City of Literature. The walks takes place on Thursday evenings during the summer months. Stay tuned on Facebook. Participation is free.
